Geriatric Assessments
Using a multi-disciplinary approach, medical professionals use Geriatric Assessments to come to an understanding of the complex, inter-related factors leading to problems with an aging individual. Through this cost-effective, thorough assessment, families have the resources and answers they need to be certain that the elder is receiving appropriate medical care and services.
When an elder is not functioning in the customary way, a family is often at a loss not knowing where to turn. Sometimes these changes are seen in agitation, memory loss, depression, and lack of self-care. Families and/or those in charge of retirement living units can become very concerned for the elder’s safety and well being.

The NSMS Geriatric Assessment provides the family and elder with a clear, impartial summary of the elder’s situation and recommendations for care.
